PAX East Booth and Pre-Order: What's New With Otto?!

Okay there are like a billion new things going on with our game, Otto and the Ancient Worlds, right now! We got a new pixel artist and pixel animator, we were at PAX South and PAX East, and you can now pre-order Otto. I’m quickly gonna go through what’s new and show y’all some screenshots of new art!

PRE-ORDER

You can pre-order Otto by going to our Pre-Order Otto link! Right now you can only pre-order for Steam, but we will have more console platforms in the near future. We think Otto would be perfect for the Nintendo Switch!

NEW PIXEL ARTIST & PIXEL ANIMATOR

Oxcoxa is not just the promo + concept artist, she is also now the pixel animator! She does it all folks, and almost instantly she has been stellar at animating. We have hired Nick Wozniak to be our art consultant, and he also makes the static sprites, tiles, and backgrounds. He is basically the pixel overlord in our eyes, with his infinite wisdom on games and pixels. #BLESSED

PAX EAST

Well first off, we attended PAX South last month in Texas. We had a booth in the PAX Rising section which featured a bunch of small team indie games, and we did the exact same thing for PAX East in Boston. Here is an image of our booth at PAX South.

The booth at PAX East was exactly the same, but our demo included a second playable stage. It’s nice that we don’t really have to do much when it comes to setting up our booth. We basically just plug things in and we are good to go! We were told that we could keep the giant Otto promo art, but we never found a way to bring it back with us. PAX East is 1 day longer than South, and our feet definitely felt it! We didn’t have a chair to sit on for PAX South, and after day 1 we started to feel the pain. Luckily at PAX East we were lent a bar stool from Yacht Club Games and boy oh boy does it make a difference. I can not stress it enough, if you are exhibiting at a convention then you NEED a chair to sit on! Everything was completely worth it just to watch people have fun playing Otto. From little kids to other game developers, we had an overwhelming positive experience. This is also the time of the year when we get to see Woz, bless that hairy man.

WORKING ON A NEW LEVEL

We just finished the first part to the introduction stage, which was playable at PAX East. We are now working on the second part of the introduction stage where Otto rides a donkey as a raft! For now, enjoy these new images!
